People in the UK Doing more “Staycations” than Vacations
Travelodge recently published a very well-done infographic and study on their blog about a new trend of people in the UK opting for“Staycations” rather than traditional vacations, i.e. abroad. They found that around 74% of British people will travel within the UK this year, a number which has grown to 40% in the past four years. This movement of people staying within the UK is expected to boost the local economy by 15 billion GBP in 2014!
